The Centre of Experimental and Clinical Regenerative Medicine (CECRM) is a biomedically oriented workplace that was established in 2020. The main focus of the centre is the study and development of innovative diagnostic, cellular and pharmacological approaches intended for the prevention and therapy of damaged tissues and organs. CECRM uses modern in vitro and in vivo model systems and technologies of cell-tissue-3D-organoid engineering.
The centre is also a joint workplace of the Institute of Neuroimmunology of Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i., which participates in the analysis of bioactive institutes of nanomolecules possessing the ability to influence the system, plasticity and regeneration of nervous tissue.
The aim of the centre is to determine the outputs for clinical use. CECRM cooperate with clinical staff from various departments of the University Veterinary Hospital (UVH) Small Animal Clinic at University of veterinary medicine and Pharmacy in Košice.
