Demonstration of neuroregenerative efficacy opens up the possibility of translation into preclinical studies of neurodegenerative diseases.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Juraj Voz\u00e1r, D.V.M.<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\r\n<p>position: external doctoral student (2021 \u2013 2026)<\/p>\r\n<p><i class=\"fas fa-envelope\"><\/i> <a href=\"mailto:juraj.vozar@student.uvlf.sk\">juraj.vozar@student.uvlf.sk<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>Dissertation topic: <strong>Study of the immunomodulating and regenerative properties of the eggshell membrane<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>During his doctoral studies, he is devoted to the characterization of membranes from eggshells separated and processed from egg waste in order to analyze the anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties of this material. Eggshell membrane is a natural biomaterial that is used as an alternative material for burns and skin injuries, but also for joint diseases. Monitoring the secretion of pro-inflammatory (IL-1 and IL-6) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10) will reveal a possible immunomodulating effect in an <em>in vitro<\/em> and <em>in vivo<\/em> model system.
